YEAR END SUPPORT

Unleash Your

Giving.

Every life-changing partnership has a first cue. You.

Canine Partners of the Rockies trains mobility service dogs and places them with Coloradans at no cost to the handler. Your year-end gift helps the next dog take its first cue. Through Dec 1, every gift is doubled, up to $30,000.

Make Your Year-End Gift

Our goal is to raise $100,000 by December 31 so more dogs can start training. We will match every gift made by Dec 1, dollar for dollar, up to $30,000, so your gift funds twice the training.

Your donation is secure and encrypted.

This Is Your Cue. Bring It, And Give Today.

Every partnership starts side by side. Our mission is to train highly skilled service dogs that help Coloradans with disabilities live more independent lives and strengthen community ties.

TRAINING
CHANGES LIVES

Every dog learns dozens of cues: retrieve a dropped phone, push a door open, press an elevator button. Training starts at about eight weeks old and takes about two years.

PEOPLE
FIND INDEPENDENCE

A door opened, a dropped phone placed back in a hand, a day on your own terms. Our mobility service dogs partner with Coloradans who have conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and Parkinson’s disease.

COMMUNITIES
GROW STRONGER

Our facility dogs work with professionals in schools, counseling offices, hospitals and courthouses, and our community outreach touched 1,809 lives in 2025.

YOUR SUPPORT
MAKES IT POSSIBLE

In 2025, individual donors gave 48% of our revenue. Your gift is the first cue.

WHAT YOUR GIFT DOES

Give the Gift of
A Service Dog

It takes about two years and about $30,000 to train one service dog, placed at no cost to the handler. Every gift moves a dog closer to graduation day, and while the match is open, every gift does twice the work.

  • $50
    BECOMES $100
Covers about half a day of training. Matched, a full day.

  • $250
    BECOMES $500
Covers about 2.5 days of training. Matched, about 5 days.

  • $1,000
    BECOMES $2,000
Covers a month of training. Matched, two.

  • Want to give more? About $30,000 trains one service dog from first cue to graduation. Call (303) 364-9040 or email info@cpotr.org to talk with us.

THE JOURNEY

From First Cue to Graduation Day

1

KINDERGARTEN

About 8 weeks to 8 months. A volunteer puppy raiser gives the pup a home, basic training and socialization, and the pup attends weekly puppy kindergarten.

2

INTERMEDIATE

About 8 to 14 months. Weekly classes build the cues and the focus a working dog needs.

3

ADVANCED

Dogs work one-on-one with our trainers three times a week on the skills a partner will rely on: retrieving, opening doors, pressing buttons.

4

GRADUATE

Partner and dog train together for about two weeks at our Aurora facility, then go home as a team.

REAL DOGS. REAL PEOPLE. REAL CHANGE.
